There
are two main types of survey: the Gold Surveys and the Peanut Labs
surveys.
Usually a survey will pay 30 - 80 SB, with most around 50. They will generally take 15 - 60 minutes to complete. A common survey format is "tell us your opinions on these ads to help us know if we're marketing our stuff correctly".
Most surveys will give a consolation SB if you're disqualified. On gold surveys, you can only get 5 disqualification SB per day; you can still take more surveys after that, but you no longer get anything if you're disqualified. Some gold surveys don't give a disqualification SB; these are marked with an "i" symbol next to the survey ID number (though occasionally the "i" can mean other things, like “survey is only available in French”; click on the “i” to check what it means). As far as I know, there is no limit to Peanut Labs disqualification SB.
Surveys can be glitchy sometimes: getting stuck in loops, disqualifying you really far into the survey (though sometimes they'll give you credit for those if you complain), or giving you questions in French without warning you that it's a French survey. Try to take it in stride, and don't do surveys if you're feeling short-tempered.
